Faces in the Crowd

It happened so long ago, none of us were there. And yet there is a sense in which each one of us were there. The reactions to Jesus on that day that we call Palm Sunday were in many ways the reactions to Jesus today. Some were indifferent and did not even come out of their homes. Some were there out of curiosity. Some were there because of what might be in it for them. Some were there to find a way to criticize. Some were there because they had been touched by Jesus and some were there because they simply believed.

Today, you and I are faces in the crowd. Jesus is looking to us and the question we must answer each day is, how will I respond to him?
