A line in the sand 1 John 2:18-27

In a day of relativism it is unpopular to have non-negotiables as part of one’s standard of living. It sounds so good to say, that we each can believe what we want to believe and all will be well. But all too often we discover that a live and let live philosophy does not play out very well in our daily lives. We each need to ask ourselves, “What are the values in my life that I will not sacrifice?” The answers to that question should have their roots in the very fabric of the Word of God.
Relativism is nothing new. It was has been around for thousands of years. What we will see in the Word of God today is that were are people who claimed to be spiritual teachers who deny the person and work of Jesus Christ. When we hear such teaching, no matter how good it sounds, it is time to draw a line in the sand.
