A Message for all ages 1 John 2:12-17

Think for a minute about your most prized possession of 10 years ago. Can you remember it? Do you still have it? Do you know where it is now? For most of us, my guess is that we can’t really decide what that is or if we can my guess is that it is no longer holding the same value in our heart today as it did then. Material things just don’t last. It is a fact. Here is what does last: our relationship with Jesus Christ and our standing with God because of Jesus Christ.
The message for all ages is simply this. When it comes to choosing to invest your heart and soul and passion, which do you choose, that which will last, or that which will wear out? We all want to choose what will last. The problem is the things that will wear out are all shiny and attractive and make promises of popularity and status. But they don’t last. Remember, only that which honors God and puts him first will really last forever.
