Walking in the Spirit

Download this episode (41 min)
Pastoral Intern, Jason Adams, shares from Galatians 6:1-10 how walking in the Spirit is about giving a hand to those who are in need. As believers in Christ, we are not called to act like the world. Instead we should be genuinely concerned for those around us. It is our responsibility to give help when needed without a bad attitude. Think back in your own life when someone else was there to give you a hand. How did you feel knowing that someone was truly concerned for your well being? Do you know someone who is in need of being lifted up?

Second Class Believers?

Download this episode (31 min)
Have you ever felt like a second class citizen? If you board an airplane, you have your first class passengers and then there is everyone else. Not only do they get more comfortable seats and better food but they even put up a divider so that they aren’t visible to the “less deserving” people. Have you ever treated someone else like a second class person? The unique and amazing part of Christianity is that there are no first and second class believers. Is there a brother or sister in Christ that you know that needs grace? Are you willing to give it?

Against All Odds - Three Widows who trusted God

Download this episode (39 min)
One of the most unique things about learning to follow Jesus Christ is to learn that he is there just when you least expect it. As long as I think I have the answers and the ability to care for my own needs, God steps aside and lets me. It is when I am weak, when I am out of answers, when I have exhausted my resources, that then God steps in, just when I least expect it. He does some of his best work through our weaknesses.

The Ministry of Encouragement - Barnabus

Download this episode (37 min)
It is an image I will not soon forget. A Costa Rican pastor, in front of a bunch of “gringos” weeping. We had come two weeks earlier to a site with only footers poured and a wall partially built and now we sat on a cement floor, under the roof of a completed church. We poured concrete, laid block, put on a roof and gave of our selves. The church was encouraged, the neighbors were curious and the Lord was honored. And now a pastor wept with joy. The ministry of encouragement is rewarding.
